Our Services

Through a significant volunteer contingent, the Society builds caring relationships with our homeless neighbours and offers connections to appropriate resourcing.

The Neighbour Centre

Located at 7221 104 Street NW, The Neighbour Centre provides provides services such as free coffee, washrooms, laundry facilities, a shower room, computer stations, friendship and support. Programs that enable employment readiness and life change support as well as connections to outreach workers and supportive housing will be available.  It is not used for overnight sleeping but does link with existing shelters in the city of Edmonton.

We are a safe haven, a respite from the elements and a place where people can be strengthened in spirit.

Introducing the Open Door Project

The Neighbour Centre's Open Door Project supports former inmates, and empowers others to do the same.  Through our reintegration support groups, mentorship programs, the one-to-one support of our reintegration chaplains and more the Open Door Project provides an open door to those who are experiencing one closed door after another.

The Open Door Project believes that our communities are safer and healthier when former inmates are surrounded by life-giving relationships that provide accountability, encouragement, support and – most importantly – hope.  Our programs are designed to give former inmates a chance to build those life-giving relationships, and so rebuild their lives.
